Cheers Farm & Equestrian

Welcome to Cheers Farm & Equestrian, a 15-acre family farm nestled in Rainier, WA. Our Equestrian program currently offers riding lessons, horse training, and leases. We also have a market garden where we grow and sell fresh, pesticide-free produces to our community through CSA and our local farm stand.

Our Story

We're Kyrany and Alex and we founded Cheers Farm in 2021, after moving up from our 5-acre farm in Central Texas. That farm started as a mostly overgrown thicket of thorny mesquite and hard-pan clay "soil", and over the next 5 years we planted dozens of fruit trees, raised multiple generations of goats and chickens and other farm critters, and used permaculture practices to transform it into a healthy, beautiful ecosystem.

It took us several trips up to Washington over the span of a year to find a new farm that would suit our needs. We knew we needed plenty of pasture space for our ever-growing farm family, as well as space that was suitable for growing organic veggies for us and our community. After many 12-16 hour days driving all over Washington and Oregon, we finally found a 15-acre farm in Rainier that was perfect. Already set up with cross-fencing and barns for our livestock and lots of wide open green space for growing, we knew this was a great place to call home and expand our farming operations.

Fast forward 2 years and we now have a thriving market garden and equestrian program, all while sticking to our original mission of always giving more to the land than we take. We're constantly planting more fruit and nut trees, improving our pastures, piling organic matter onto our garden beds, and doing everything we can to provide for the land that provides so much for us. We're loving life in Washington, and don't miss getting stabbed by 2-inch long mesquite thorns even a little bit.
